POLPENAZZE (BS)
A picturesque village with 2000 inhabitants in the Valtenesi on the south-eastern shore of the Lake Garda. Its beautiful church from the XVI century with wooden ceiling can be seen from afar thanks to its panoramic position. The remains of the castle and city walls from the X century with the 3 historical fountains with cool mountain water confer the small city square an almost medieval atmosphere. The superb Manerba headlands with the remains of the Roman and Medieval castles on the Rocca form the lakeshore at 3 miles distance. The Garda Golf grounds connect the two villages of Polpenazze and Soiano.
